Sa Carrela 'e Nante

In Santu Lussurgiu too, carnival is the greatest feast when people launch in one of the strongest and extraordinary demonstration of temerity in the horse race which is called "carrela 'e nanti". In the last three days of carnival, along the paved and steep "via Roma", two horses at a time, ridden by smart and masked knights, launch in very fast gallops in the narrow street , trying to ride pair till the end of the run. It is an exciting performance, a challenge among the men of Santu Lussurgiu to affirm their courage, their skill and their strenght for the achievement of prestige inside the community.
